BRAVE by Le Va
Young people preventing suicide by asking you to listen to their plea. Be ‘B.R.A.V.E’ for our Pasifika youth, watch and share this video to be informed of how you can prevent youth suicide.
Every 40 seconds someone in the world takes their own life – in New Zealand, many are our young people, especially our Maori and Pasifika youth. You can help give hope by asking other’s if they are ok, listening to what they have to say in a non-judgmental way, and letting them know you care.
This video is intended for use as part of Le Va’s ‘FLO Talanoa’ toolkit. FLO Talanoa is a free Pasifika Suicide prevention community education programme delivered by Le Va.
Le Va is New Zealand’s non-profit organisation focussed on Pasifika wellbeing that delivers FLO, the national Pasifika suicide prevention programme on behalf of the Ministry of Health. FLO is part of Waka Hourua, the Maori and Pasifika Suicide prevention programme, led by Le Va and Te Rau Matatini.
